10 Keys of Confidence - Key 10 "Release"

Key 10 RELEASE

Submitting to the Lord means that you must release control – turning yourself and circumstances over to God. Peaceful release is a stepping stone to your confidence – carry only what God gives you to bear. Extra baggage just wears you down. It is very easy to load up on a lot of additional care and junk in our lives that drag us down and stunt our spiritual growth.

Remember that CONFIDENCE and COPING is not to take the place of faith and trust in the Lord. Confidence is a gift of God that you receive by drawing closer to Him. Read about God; meditate on Him; listen for his instruction; trust and believe in His word and endeavor to walk a godly Christ like walk of faith.

In order to ‘release’ we must learn to let go.

This poem written several years ago reminds me of how we expect God to work on our behalf yet never release everything to Him.

Let Go and Let God

As children bring their broken toys, with tears for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God, because He is my friend. But then instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone, I hung around and tried to help, with ways that were my own. At last, I snatched it back again and cried, "How can you be so slow?" "My child" He said, "What could I do? You never let it go."

Have you ever really let go of the trials and turbulences in your life in such a way that only God can make a difference?  Do you understand what that means?  I don’t know about you, but personally, I struggle with getting out from behind the steering wheel and letting God at the controls.  However, when I take the back seat and let him drive, I see the bigger picture.  When I relinquish my ‘rights’, knowledge and experiences to the omniscient Holiness of God, I actually show signs of maturing in wisdom.  God’s wisdom and understanding of all things is the reason I can surrender my cares to my ever loving and wise God.  I can entrust Him with everything because I understand that he has my best interest at heart.  It is enough to know that He can handle all my cares; it is enough to know that He is all wise and it is certainly enough to know that my God is the creator of all things; so, certainly he can handle my circumstances.  And, it is even more than enough to know that he takes care of all things because he loves me.

You probably will do anything for the ones you love.  God is like that and more because though we will do our best to come along side a loved one and encourage and uplift them when they are in need; God can take care of the things that we cannot.

What about you? Do you hold on tightly to the things you say you turn over to God? Release them. Trust your Lord and Savior.

He cares as no one else can or will - I Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

Additional scripture reading: Philippians 4:6, 7; Matthew 6:25-34

About Guilt In order to be productive and full of peace, you need to be walking in the wisdom of God’s assurances. If you don’t know them, you won’t be able to use them. Get personal with God! Turn it over to Him and stamp out the guilt that robs you of your productivity. Paul said he had to forget those things behind and press on toward the mark (Phil. 3:14) – Press on…with CONFIDENCE!

Feeling troubled?  Release your troubles to God – “Let not your ________  __  ________: you believe in God, ________  ____  __  __. “  John 14:1 (NKJV)

Are you fretting over your finances?  Release your needs to God – “…my God shall _________ all your need according to his riches in glory by _______  _____.”  Philippians 4:19

Study the love of Jesus and the Father God and you will be able to turn away from the enemy of despair and turn to trust.  There is comfort in the Lord; there is truth in the Lord; there is forgiveness in the Lord.  His promises are pure and never failing.  Release – picture yourself being released from shackles; see yourself a captive of Christ instead of being captive to worry and sin.

Got FAILURES? - Get God

God HEARTACHE? - Get God

Got GUILT? – Get God
